Description
A 2020 Piquette made from the pressed skins of Gewürztraminer grapes from the Niagara Peninsula region of Ontario produced by BitWines LitGurl. This wine was made similarly to the production of traditional Piquettes, which were made as cheap wines for vineyard workers. The pressed grape skins are mixed with water to ferment, creating a low alcohol, light, usually slightly sparkling wine. This Piquette has floral aromas and honey and tastes of guava, pink grapefruit and candied ginger. Light and slightly effervescent on the tongue makes this wine a great, refreshing summer wine.
